Hans and I worked together back in 2015, when he helped me define my career and life purpose, mission and values. 11 years later, I am still using the output from this experience! Recently, I participated in an Enneagram assessment with Hans and found this equally insightful and useful. The assessment process is in itself straightforward (online survey) and thought provoking. I learned a lot about my working styles and motivations / drivers from the resulting report, delivered immediately, and found the follow up 1:1 coaching session to be even more insightful. I had a group team coaching session with Hans which was arranged by my employer and it was an insightful session. Hans was able to navigate our team dynamic by managing the louder and quieter voices which offered a very balanced session. It brought a bit more awareness to us all on how we perceive our team and by how the team sees one another. By the end of the session the general consensus was we were all more aware of what was previously considered blind spots.

I was stuck in a career not suited to me. Hans helped me formulate a plan, involving understanding my strengths and goals (with the help of the Enneagram assessment), assessing career options against a framework, and gaining the confidence to make the change. I’m now taking a year out to do a masters in Building Surveying, and feel empowered and excited about the future. This wouldn’t have been possible without Hans. For me, the in person sessions in London were very important, and I found the options for multiple locations as well as the online booking system very convenient.

I came to Hans because in my case I wanted to discover and validate, or invalidate, what I was doing right, what was not worth spending time, where my wins were, and what I could do to better even better at what I did. He takes great care and makes a point in understanding your logic, where you come from and your inspirations, and explores these in a way that will help you stir your career in the direction that resonates most with you. He listens actively: you will tell him something in one session, and he will still remember it much later, telling you what you told him, and then will question or challenge you. His perspective is very valuable, where he’d see things you had missed or had not considered. The level of depth and thoroughness, as well as his knowledge of the career coaching in itself is very impressive. He is very professional, yet will not sugar-coat anything he has to say. I have been working with Hans Schumann for about a year and it has been fantastic. Hans is very attentive, observant and a great listener. He combines those skills with learnings from his own life experience (highly valuable to me as a legal counsel) and his expertise in his role as a coach. I booked a session with Hans to prepare for an upcoming training contract interview at a magic circle firm. I had a relatively good idea of what I might expect but Hans superseded those expectations. Hans went through the particular points that I wanted help with both efficiently and effectively, allowing me to really make the most out of the session. He also provided in-depth feedback within a mock interview that allowed me to fine-tune both my answers and my interview preparation. Most importantly for me, as I get quite anxious before interviews and only had a few days left before it occurred, Hans really built up my confidence and delivered all of his advice in a constructive way. Thankfully, I was successful in securing the training contract offer and I truly do believe that my session with Hans played a substantial role in that. Practical tools and to master your life and self confidence The Life Mastery was an incredible journey where we explored core facets of our lives and how to gain a better understanding of what is working, what could be improved & how to go about doing so based on your personality and traits. I met with Hans after finding myself at a cross-road in my career - I was struggling to navigate my options and take a positive step forward. I was also burnt-out, further compounding my anguish. It has been a real pleasure working with Hans, and I have learnt so much about myself and what I can offer. A career planning workshop being run by Hans was recommended to me by a friend, so I booked to go with the hope of gaining a better understanding of how I could find a job that would be truly rewarding to me. What a great decision that I will never regret. Going on this course made me take immediate positive steps that have now enabled me to successfully change my career. Like many people I guess, I fell into a career that although I felt I was good at, wasn’t totally fulfilling somehow, although I could never really put my finger on it. Han’s workshop was brilliant. I gained so much from one day it’s quite unbelievable. Naturally I am a dreamer, always new Ideas and goals pop in my head and although its a great habit to have, the cost of it is I had my time and focus thinned on so many things and its Impact on me is that progress in all my goals was slow. In just couple of session Hans helped me to be aware of my habit and supported me in creating focus on what matters to me the most through his tools, inquiries, powerful questions, holding me accountable and motivating me to take action.
