Enneagram for Leaders

The Enneagram, combined with executive coaching, provides leaders with radical insights into both their potential and their blind spots. This allows them to embrace their own personal leadership style and grow beyond their current limitations.

A leader’s level of self-awareness can be a barrier to their success and capacity to change. The Enneagram helps leaders leverage the intelligence of their “three brains”: the mind, the heart and the gut. It facilitates true breakthroughs in personal effectiveness through deep reflection on their own personality pattern and those of the people they lead or wish to lead or influence.

The Enneagram growth model brings executive coaching to a deeper level by working on causes rather than symptoms. It offers a growth path that will be specific to a leader’s personality type.

There 9 archetypes of personalities in the Enneagram model relate to 9 different leadership styles. We all have parts of all 9 types in us, but there will be one type that dominates how we engage with the world. Understanding your dominant leadership style, what drives it and why other people default to different styles is a quantum leap in developing emotional intelligence and, ultimately, effective leadership.

Once you have completed the online Enneagram test to establish your most dominant Enneagram type, you will receive a personalised report with comprehensive information about your patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, and the way you currently engage with others. The report also contains an assessment of your current stress levels and proposed development actions.

 

In a private debrief session, I will take you through the report in detail and assist you in designing a strategy for using this information to increase the effectiveness of your leadership style. Sometimes this involves leveraging your existing strengths and sometimes cultivating different ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.
